Adelphi pays tribute to the seniors of Garden City

Each year, the Adelphi University Prize for Leadership is presented to high school students in Garden City in recognition of their exemplary academic achievement and community service. This fall, the award was presented to seven local students who were selected on the basis of a rigorous application they complete during their junior year and which outlines their efforts in these areas.

The winners included Garden City High School students Paige Pryor, Ryann Henry, Kaitlyn E. Fuoco and Kasey Prybylski; Cara Griffin and Mia Takvor, students at the Academy of the Sacred Heart; and Alyssa Jeffrey, student at Fusion Academy. The students were honored at a ceremony in October.

Each recipient receives a monetary award of $ 1,000, an inscribed prize, the privileges of the Adelphi Library, an invitation to attend a dinner in honor of a leading scholar, artist or political figure. plan visiting the University and the possibility of registering for two tuition-free courses. in Adelphi during the academic year 2021-2022.
