Barbara and Ray Dalio help Greenwich Historical Society write history
Scene… Over 230 people attended the Greenwich Historical Society benefit at the Belle Haven Club in Greenwich in honor Barbara and Ray dalio with the History in the Making award for their exemplary philanthropic work. Indra Nooyi, previous winner and former president and CEO of PepsiCo, presented the award virtually with Haley Rockwell Elmlinger, co-president of the historical society. The award features a collage of fingerprints created by students from New Lebanon School. The evening including a Q&A interview with the Dalios carried out by the historian David Rubenstein on their approach to philanthropy. The Dalios stressed the importance of supporting education by forging partnerships with teachers in disadvantaged neighborhoods. The History in the Making Prize was created in 2003 to recognize the people who are the makers of the history of our time. Past laureates include Derek boothby, Thomas foley, Curt Welling, Marie and Charlène Von Saher, and Lewis lehrman. It was the largest fundraising event in the history of the historical society. West and his future ex-wife Kim Kardashian West share four children together, and he was in the area to support his appearance on “Saturday Night Live”.
