Fashion scholarship fund in honor of Abloh, Van Raemdonck


The Fashion Scholarship Fund’s annual awards ceremony returns to a physical location.

The national nonprofit will host its 85th annual awards ceremony on February 7, 2022 at the Glass House in New York City. Virgil Abloh, artistic director of Louis Vuitton for men and founder of Off-White, and Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO of the Neiman Marcus group, will be celebrated for their contributions to the fashion industry.

Abloh will be honored to have established the Post-Modern Scholarship Fund in partnership with the FSF, to benefit black students through funding, career support and mentorship. The fund started in 2020 with a $ 1 million donation from Abloh and partner brands Louis Vuitton, Farfetch, Evian and New Guards Group.

Van Raemdonck will be recognized for enhancing Neiman Marcus’ support to diverse youth through the Heart of Neiman Marcus Foundation’s partnership with the FSF and the Company’s Executive Development Program, which prepares young professionals for leadership roles. merchandising and planning in addition to various business functions.

As in previous ceremonies, the FSF will be awarding more than $ 1 million in scholarships to 120 students, including 20 Abloh Post-Modern Scholarship Fund scholars, who will all be in attendance.

Prior to the gala, four finalist scholarship recipients will compete for the best FSF scholarship by presenting a case study to a jury. Each concept will be highlighted during the gala.
