Appointment of advisor

During his four years of high school, Jacob excelled in many activities both inside and outside the classroom. Jacob made the honor roll every semester of high school maintaining a perfect 4.0 GPA while taking countless honors, AP, and double credit courses. He managed to get marks of 4 on the AP Biology and AP English and Composition exams.

Jacob serves in his church as a representative of the local youth council and first assistant of the priests’ quorum to the bishop of his ward. He also completed over 150 hours of service during his four years of high school.

Jacob greatly deserves this award not only because of his studies, but also his activities outside of school and the impact he has in our community. Jacob achieved the Eagle Scout rank in the Boy Scouts of America. In his business club at TFHS, the Business Professionals of America, he won the state’s top spot last year in the team video production and personal finance categories and qualified for the national championships to take fifth place with his team. Jacob is also very gifted musically. He took the piano for 10 years and loves to sing in church. For his TFHS sports teams, Jacob is a four-time cross country and varsity track and field athlete in addition to playing basketball. This past year, Jacob’s exceptional times qualified him to compete for the state in the 800-meter race. He loves to run and has completed two half marathons and last summer he trained hard for and finished a marathon in an impressive time of 3 hours and 22 minutes. He is also a member of the Twin Falls Competitive Youth Spikeball League, a certified diver and downhill ski enthusiast. Working hard as a Certified Field Inspector for ISDA, Jacob is impacting the future of local and regional agriculture by testing and helping prevent the spread of deadly diseases to large numbers of plant species. . Jacob is also a member of the National Honor Society. Anyone can understand why Jacob is such an amazing person and a pleasure to know.
