While speaking about the state government’s decision, Haryana Board Chairman Jagbir Singh said the decision was made as schools were closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and education had been disturbed.

“The Haryana School Education Council has decided to cut the curriculum by 30% for high school (class 10) and upper secondary (class 12) classes for the 2021-22 academic session,” a statement read. official, according to PTI reports.

The chairman of the board further said that as also last year, this year the program has been reduced by 30% to help students cope with academic pressure amid the current pandemic and shutdown situation. schools.

Haryana Class 10, 12 board exams 2021 canceled

Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal had announced that 2021 class 10 and 12 board exams in the state were canceled this year due to the second wave of the Covid-19 pandemic, after increasing demands from students.

The decision to cancel council exams for both classes this year was announced shortly after the Central Council for Secondary Education decided on a similar precedent for this year. Students are now promoted without taking exams.

The Haryana Secondary Education Council has also implemented an assessment criterion to calculate the results of students in grades 10 and 12 this year. This criterion is based on last year’s performance and the school’s internal evaluation scores.

Haryana schools reopened last week after just nearly three months for grades 9 to 12 under strict Covid-19 protocols. However, it did not make it compulsory for students to come to school as online classes continue, officials said.
