According to LB Nagar police, Kota Srinivas Goud (38), from Appannapet village in Peddapalli district, was arrested in Warasiguda. Goud was in possession of Maoist literature and he encouraged people to join the party. “Srinivas Goud was also involved in collecting money from various people in favor of the Maoist party and he worked on the instructions of the leaders of the banned organization,” LB Inspector Nagar V Ashok Reddy said.
Police said he was one of the defendants in the 2019 case against Narla Ravi Sharma and his wife Anuradha, former members of the State Committee of the Bihar-Jharkhand Unity of the CPI (Maoist) party and others to have links with the party. Police have so far arrested 13 people in the 2019 case registered at LB Nagar Police Station.
Goud is reserved under Sections 121, 121 (A), 120 (B) r / w 34 IPC, U / s 10, 13, 18, 18 (B) and 20 of UAPA and Sec. 8 (1) (2) of the 2012 Telangana State Public Security Law in 2019, police said.
