The class includes 25 students related to university as First Tee celebrates 25 years of impact.

TruGreen, and other corporate partners who support First Tee’s program and mission, were part of the National Selection Committee for the Class of 2022. The process included written applications and interviews that assessed participants on academic performance, financial need, Chapter First Tee involvement, volunteerism and other criteria.

Part of TruGreen’s support is to increase access to scientific careers, such as agronomy. Within the class of 2022, there are 3 fellows who aspire to pursue careers in plant science or other scientific careers, while other fellows seek to become doctors, computer scientists and lawyers.

Through the college scholarship program, each of the scholarship recipients has access to professional development workshops, internships and full-time placement after graduation, as well as $5,000 For four years.

Another key factor in the program is pairing each fellow with a dedicated mentor. Throughout their academic career, select TruGreen Associates will serve as mentors to select Fellows and contribute to professional development and educational sessions, helping to share industry knowledge and scientific expertise as Fellows prepare to transform their passions and their education in real applications.
